What is ghostly 1

In the gray autumn you don't have to feel dreary and heavy in your heart. Laugh, cry, hum along - anything is possible at the events of the cultural program in the Pullacher B├╝rgerhaus in November.

The internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble "Slix" will present itself to the Pullach audience on November 28th from 8 pm with its program "Playgrounds". The five men and one woman work exclusively with the voice and perform true voice acrobatics, as has often been read about them. For years they have been making a name for themselves with their musical curiosity, vocal versatility and enthusiasm for playing. With their daring mix of styles of jazz, pop, classical and world music, which has led, among other things, to a collaboration with Bobby McFerrin, they are represented internationally at both renowned jazz and vocal music festivals. In 2008 and 2014 they were honored with the world's highest award for vocal art - the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award.

Lots of voice, but also many instruments, will be heard in "The Canterville Ghost - a comic opera in two acts based on Oscar Wilde" on November 29th from 8pm. With the story of the old English castle ghost, over which the horrors of modern times in the form of an American family break in, Wilde succeeded in 1887 in what is probably the most enjoyable ghost in literary history. A production by the Munich Chamber Opera can now be seen in Pullach: In the stage version by Dominik Wilgenbus, the American family swings to the music of George Gershwin, while the 300-year-old ghost appears with the sounds of Henry Purcell, for example, sung by countertenor Thomas Lichtenecker. The acoustic experience is completed by the soloists and the orchestra of the Munich Chamber Opera.

Tickets for the events can be purchased in the office of the B├╝rgerhaus by telephone (089/744 75 20) on the homepage (www.buergerhaus-pullach.de).
