Why does every man talk about football

FC Bayern: President Hainer talks about transferring Julian Nagelsmann

Julian Nagelsmann will be the Bayern coach for the new season - and according to several reports, he will cost a record fee. Bavaria's President commented on the numbers mentioned in an interview.

The sums mentioned in connection with the change of coach Julian Nagelsmann from RB Leipzig to FC Bayern Munich are not all true, according to Bayern President Herbert Hainer. "We had to find an agreement with Leipzig because Julian Nagelsmann was still bound there. And do not believe all the numbers that were being rumored," said the 66-year-old in an interview with the "Abendzeitung" when asked about the record replacement in the Corona -Time in which the German record champions have to save according to their own statements.

Managing director confirms the order of magnitude

Reports on the transfer fee range from 15 million euros plus bonus payments to 30 million euros. Leipzig's managing director Oliver Mintzlaff had confirmed a transfer fee of this magnitude at a press conference last Tuesday. Nagelsmann, who has a five-year contract with FC Bayern, is definitely the most expensive coach in football history.

"FC Bayern are one of the best teams in Europe, and they also need a top coach. We managed to do that by signing Julian Nagelsmann," said Hainer, justifying the 33-year-old's commitment.

After two years in Leipzig, Nagelsmann, who was born in Landsberg am Lech, is returning to Bavaria. He had already dreamed of an engagement on the Isar in 2017. Before that, he wants to say goodbye to Leipzig with a title. To do this, RB has to beat SV Werder Bremen tonight (8.30 p.m., in the live ticker on t-online).
