PUBG Mobile: Update 0.16.0 brings Angry Birds, RageGear and crossover items

Tencent released the update version 0.16.0 for PUBG Mobile today. With the game update, PUBG Mobile receives a new game mode, a new map, new equipment and skills, as well as an "Angry Birds" mini-game mode including crossover items for the tenth anniversary of the popular franchise. PUBG Mobile is available for free in the AppStore and on Google Play.

Here is an overview of the new features with PUBG Mobile Update 0.16.0 (manufacturer information):

  • RageGear mode: In this brand new EvoGround mode, players are divided into two factions and assigned as drivers or co-drivers. Every vehicle is equipped with a weapon, for example a Gatling gun, shotgun or RPG. The passenger can also choose a Gatling Gun and RPG, or use a grenade launcher and the M249.
  • RageGear TDM: Players destroy enemy vehicles to earn points. If the score limit is reached, a chicken dinner beckons.
  • RageGear PickUp: In this new mode, players must collect boxes of points in order to win. However, if their vehicle is destroyed, they will lose all of the boxes.
  • Snow Paradise: Players get a chance to enter Snow Paradise when they sign up for Classic Mode. In the snowy world you can ride gondola lifts and snowboards, among other things.
  • Healing Mobility: Healing items can now also be used while running. The speed of movement is, however, considerably reduced.
  • Loadouts: A new loadout overlay is now available to players in TDM mode. There you can edit and customize your weapons. If players advance in the EvoLevel, they can unlock new weapons and additional attachments.
  • Perspecitves button: A new button makes it easier for players in Classic, Arcade and Training Ground modes to switch from the TPP to the FPP.
  • New sliding mechanics: Players can activate character sliding in TDM.
  • Weapon balancing: Several weapons have been adjusted in classic mode:
  • Bolt Action Rifles: Torso damage increased by 30%
  • AWM: Damage reduced by 12 points to 120
  • Crossbow: Torso and limb damage increased by 40% and 20%, respectively
  • S12k: Increased damage from 22 to 24
  • Sawed-Off: Increased damage from 20 to 22
  • S686 / S1897: Increased damage from 24 to 26
  • Shotguns: Maximum shooting distance reduced from 1,000 m to 150 m
  • Duckbill: Vertical spherical scattering increased, horizontal spherical scattering reduced
