How do you ring the doorbell in Fortnite

This is how you flash when someone rings your doorbell

While you can have professional systems installed by hooking up the lights to your doorbell, you can use an existing smart video doorbell (like the Ring or SkyBell HD lightbulb) and Philips Hue bulbs to make the lights blink when someone rings the doorbell . How to set it up

Why should I want to do this?

Many of these types of structures are used in homes where the person living there is deaf or at least hard of hearing. Having the lights blink when the doorbell rings is a great way to alert them that someone is at the door without actually hearing the doorbell.

Even if you are not hard of hearing, something like this can be great to set up in rooms far from the ringing bell. So unless you happen to hear the doorbell ring, your lights will flash so you still know someone rang the doorbell. even if you couldn't hear

Set up

It does this with the help of IFTTT, which allows users to interconnect all kinds of products and services that they normally couldn't otherwise make. If you haven't used IFTTT before, check out our getting started guide for information on creating an account, connecting apps, and creating recipes.

For your convenience, we've already made the recipe complete and embedded below - in this case with the doorbell as the intelligent video doorbell. So, if you are already an expert on IFTTT, just hit the "Add" button. You need to connect the Philips Hue channel and the Ring channel if you haven't already.

If you want to customize the recipe (which one you want) you'll probably want to do this if you want to use other smarthome products instead. Start by going to the IFTTT homepage and clicking "My Recipes" at the top of the page. Make sure you are signed in.

Then click on "Create recipe".

Click on "This" which is highlighted in blue.

Type "ring" in the search box or find it in the list of products and services below. Click on it when you find it.

Then click New Ring Detected on the Select Trigger screen.

On the next screen, click the drop-down menu and select your doorbell from the list (there will probably only be one to choose from anyway). After choosing your doorbell, click Create Trigger.

Then click on the icon highlighted in blue.

Type "Philips Hue" into the search box or find it in the list of products and services below. Click on it when you find it.

Now you decide what your lights will do when the doorbell rings. If so, you probably want them to blink. So click on "Flashing Lights".

Next, select the lights you want to flash out. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of IFTTT, Philips Hue allows you to select only one bulb or all of your Philips Hue bulbs. You can't just pick a handful of pears.

When you have selected the light you want to use, click Create Action.

On the next page, give your recipe a custom title if you want and then click "Create Recipe". After that, the recipe is active and from now on your lights will flash as soon as your doorbell rings to alert you that someone is at the door.
