Audit - Associates Duties?
Audit - Associates Duties?
Good evening dear Wiwi-Treff readers,
I would be really interested in how far the tasks of an associate's audit work in an auditing department go. The main task is the examination. I am now wondering whether this activity really looks like in practice, as I have often been able to read, that you only compare two lists and check marks or make samples.
Are there other responsibilities for an associate? What other tasks will follow in later career stages?reply
Re: Audit - Associates Duties?
I've asked myself about that often.
Does anyone know anything about it?
Re: Audit - Associates Duties?
Yes essentially it is.
Depending on which part of the financial statement is checked, one compares numbers and lists (e.g. for liquid funds "balance confirmations" of the bank accounts with the account balances according to the accounting system; for demands and associations the open amounts communicated by the respective business partners etc.) or checks Excel -Tables for gross errors (inventories, holdings, etc.).
Everything must always be documented, which is why you put a tick next to each compared number, for example.
All printed documents must then be scanned by you, uploaded to the audit software and entered.
The current figures are then typed into the annual financial statements for the previous year.reply

Only a few hidden champions manage to grow into truly large companies, as the 2015 Innovation Indicator shows.
