What is Events Meetups

Agile working meetups and events that shouldn't be missed

The buzzword agility is also shaping the year 2018 and is no longer just found in the software industry. So that you can find out all about Scrum, Kanban and innovations from the agile way of working, there are now many events that you should not miss. We present the following agile events in Germany in 2018:

+++ Agile Cologne +++ 09.03.2018 +++ Cologne

This week is Agile Cologne - which is currently sold out, but interested parties can put themselves on a waiting list. It is an open space event for all Scrum, XP and Kanban enthusiasts. The sessions of the event are determined spontaneously on the day by all participants - very agile!

+++ Agile digital transformation +++ March 20-22, 2018 +++ Munich +++

More and more companies are starting to initiate a Chief Digital Officer (CDO) in the management team - what tasks does he have, what competencies and how far does he differ from the Chief Information Officer (CIO) or does he work with him? What sense does it make to set up digital labs, creative spaces and innovation hubs in parallel with a strategy and to equip them with budgets of several million euros in some cases?

The aim of this new conference is to offer everyone involved in a digital transformation as well as newcomers a networking platform to learn from each other.

+++ Agile Playground +++ from March at several locations +++

Agile playground event in Neu-Isenburg
Agile playground event in Munich
Agile playground event in the Rhineland

During the joint agile game, you can playfully get to know the Scrum approach and face the challenge of implementing the “playground” project to the satisfaction (if not enthusiasm!) Of your product owner as a team. The Agile Playground is aimed at those interested in agile and beginners without / with little previous knowledge of software development, project management, specialist areas, etc. with:

  • Having fun playing and trying out new things

  • Team spirit and

  • Interest in exchanging experiences with finger food, beer, cola and co.

+++ SCRUM Days +++ June 12-13, 2018 +++ Stuttgart +++

The Scrum Day has developed into the largest community conference over the years. The focus is of course on Scrum and everything to do with the popular agile framework. We also address topics such as agile organizational development, agile strategies, agile management, Scrum and agility on a large scale (scaling) and much more.

The aim of the event is to offer the participants a broad communication platform on all aspects of agility and Scrum in practice.

+++ Agile World 2018 +++ July 02-04, 2018 +++ Munich +++

The three days of the Agile World are under the motto “Culture, Communication, Leadership”. Previously announced speakers are Jeff Patton (author of the O'Reilly book User Story Mapping) and Dr. Gerhard Wohland, physicist, consultant and partner at DynamicRobust.com. The complete conference program will be available on the website from the beginning of April.

+++ Manage Agile +++ 16.10 - 18.10.2018 +++ Berlin +++

Manage Agile is taking place in Berlin for the seventh time in a row this year. The conference is dedicated to the topic of "Agile Leadership" and is aimed at managers in agile companies. The lecture topics of Manage Agile go far beyond IT. Agile human resources, the design of agile project contracts and the development of agile organizations are also considered.

The key players in agile topics meet at Manage Agile to exchange experiences. The conference is therefore THE networking platform for modern corporate and project management.

+++ Meet Ups, Scrum tables and Lean Coffee +++ all year round +++ at all locations in Germany +++

Here we present regional offers from MeetUps and Scrum tables, where you can visit numerous offers from your city from the agile world. Meetps help people to establish a local community of like-minded people and to meet and exchange ideas on a regular basis.

A Meetup group can help:

  • Find like-minded people

  • To get involved in something and to change things together

  • Make friends and have fun

  • To learn, teach and share ideas

  • Start projects

There are numerous MeetUps on the subject of agility in all major cities in Germany - simply register at https://www.meetup.com/de-DE/, select your areas of interest and receive suggestions for suitable groups. So you can take part in an exchange in your city every week.

We recommend two exciting MeetUps in Frankfurt:

Agile sales
Frankfurt Agile Community

We also recommend local Scrum tables where Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers, Managers or other Scrum workers meet to share experiences, exchange ideas about current projects and learn from each other.

There is also the opportunity to take part in Lean Coffees. Lean Coffee is a structured but initially agenda-free meeting. The participants meet, create the agenda and start talking. The discussions are goal-oriented and productive because the agenda for the respective meeting was democratically and up-to-date.

You can find a number of possible Scrum tables and Lean Coffee events on XING under Events: www.xing.com/events
